10th pass or above from recognised board. 
Medically Fit (Eye vision + or – 2.5 allowed). 
No colour blindness. 
Age 17.5-25 years

Maritime English and General Ship knowledge, navigation, cargo handling and stowage, marine engineering knowledge & practice , electrical electronic & control engineering, controlling the operation of ship & care for persons on board.

Student after successfully accomplishing the training program will be awarded with the course certificate, by the academy approved by Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Surface and Transport Govt. of India. In inclusion to the above candidate will also receive Indian CDC (Continuous Discharge Certificate).

Candidate after successfully finishing the pre sea training course has to undergo On-Board training or sail for minimum period of 18 months. The eligible candidate can target to become Master mariner on board after fulfilling required sea time and clearing various exams.
