Rules & Regulations

The rules and regulations mentioned herein shall be binding on all candidates applying for admission to the Academy and may be modified without prior notice to the trainees:

• The fee must be deposited according to the predetermined fee schedule. If payment is delayed, a late fee will be payable and no excuses will be accepted.
• The candidate should ask for a valid receipt for each payment made.
• The payment should be issued in the name of Kosco Institute of Marine Services Pvt. Ltd.
• In case of any discrepancy or discontinuation of the course, the fees already paid will not be refunded.
• The candidate is expected to understand the instructions and guidelines mentioned in the prospectus and the letter furnished to them.
• Uniform is the dress code for the entire duration of the training and will be issued within a week of the candidate joining the institute.
• The use of mobile phones and laptops is prohibited, except on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Smoking and the consumption of alcoholic beverages or narcotic drugs is strictly prohibited on the premises. If anyone is found doing so, strict action will be taken against them.
• Long hair, mustaches, and beards are not allowed during training.
• Training should not be hindered due to religious or personal practices of any kind; the student can do the same exercise in their free time as well.
• The candidate is required to maintain their own room and environment. In case of any damage, the cost of repair will be recovered from the candidate.
• Gold ornaments or electrical items are not permitted in the possession of the students.
• The candidate, after the completion of the training or expulsion, is not allowed to enter the premises without prior approval from the campus authorities.
• The trainee needs to pass the tests conducted during the training session; otherwise, they will have to re-appear in the test after paying the examination fee.
• Upon completion of the training program, the student will be placed in an Indian Coastal or Foreign Ship depending on their eligibility, budget, and performance.
• The necessary fees to be paid for on-board training and placement will be borne by the candidate themselves.
• If the student does not opt for the placement opportunity, the Academy will not be responsible for their future placement.
• The candidate should be aware of the amendments to the rules and regulations.
• Misbehavior or mischief will not be tolerated.
• KOSCO INSTITUTE OF MARINE SERVICES PVT. LTD is authorized to take strict action against any student violating the rules and regulations of the Institute.
• KOSCO INSTITUTE OF MARINE SERVICES PVT. LTD reserves the right to cancel the admission without assigning any reason and to modify the rules at its convenience.
